My Ideas through WIPRO Innovation Programe - Idea Lounge
Wipro Idea Lounge is a Web Portal for the employees of Wipro to share their Ideas. The below are my three Ideas selected by Wipro CIO and panel to execute. The below are my projects that got selected.
1. Eco-friendly Economical Bag
Designed and modeled an eco-friendly economical bag by using cotton gauze that can replace exactly the way we use the plastic bags. This could substantially assuage a lot of stress on the environment and be an encouragement to the cotton industries and farmers. This kind of bags requires low-grade cotton and thus balancing the cotton ecosystem. Through sustainability programme in Wipro, the Consumer goods and Lighting Department liked this idea and were interested to trade their goods with it. The vendors of Wipro were not ready to produce such bags. Not being disheartened, I took forward this Idea with my own finances to the Directors of DWACRA, VELUGU, SERP & SHGs of The Government of Andhra Pradesh as the production could be a livelihood for women at home who are members of Self Help Groups. This Idea was taken up by SERP CEO and attached to a contract marketing manager who left 2 months later and the project got disconnected.
2. WIPRO ID Card Tag Redisign.
After coming to see few women expressed anguish at security guards for being unintentionally physically stopped to flip off the blank side of Display Card which is generally unnoticed by them. Modeled a new tag and suggested design changes(adding a rivet) in the tag which acts on gravity and always shows the front side of the ID Card. With the support of Chief Security Officer Mahalakshmi Mahadevan, I took this design to Operations Manager who later proposed it to the vendor. The vendor accepted to produce such tags from the next procurement.
3. Smart Side Mirrors for Vehicles
Smart side mirrors fix blind spots of the driver in the vehicle at turnings by projectng appropriate views by monitering the side mirrors/fender mirrors orientation to reduce the discomfort during any movement of the vehicle other than in straight direction. Through the same WIPRO idea lounge, my idea was selected and was attached to Product Development Services-Infotainment and I happen to work with that domain as well. CIO has processed the Idea to the internal patent officer being as inventor. Couldn't complete the process as I left WIPRO to pursue my Ideas.
